bash-3.00$ uname -a
SunOS alpha 5.11 snv_55 i86pc i386 i86pc

Also, since doing the sys-unconfig, I have tried to plumb up lo0 and I no
longer get an error

bash-3.00$ ifconfig -a
bge0: flags=201100843<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST,ROUTER,IPv4,CoS> mtu 1500
index 1
        inet 192.168.1.200 netmask ffffff00 broadcast 192.168.1.255
lo0: flags=2001000849<UP,LOOPBACK,RUNNING,MULTICAST,IPv4,VIRTUAL> mtu 8232
index 2
        inet 127.0.0.1 netmask ff000000

I also went through the steps again, after the sys-unconfig, and the reboot, I
no longer have any interfaces up, but I can do everything by hand, and after
getting everything restarted, the message in the network settings tool is that
the interface bge0 is not configured
