Thanx for your detailed explanation. As far as I understand, then, the build I already have for sparc, that was created using gcc on Sparc 280R is fine.
One last question: what about Java? We have many java applications running on this machine, some are batch, some are tomcat web applications. Will the Java threads split inside the cores or not?
