i really doubt that it would work, the vmware software installs a few
linux kernel modules ( or it did last time i checked)


I believe the kernel modules have been open sourced, so they can be ported
if you are enough of a solaris/linux kernel module guru. But at least  it
wont require much recurring work thanks to Solaris stability
