Democracy distills down to the majority physically defeating the minority 
should they not come to an agreement that the majority is correct.  

In the case of Solaris in general, that phenomenon will manifest itself in one 
of these ways:  

#1:  The majority-unfriendly status quo remains and Solaris sees stunted 
growth.  (this is probably most of Solaris' existence)
#2:  The majority branches off from the minority.  (this could be Project 
Indiana)
#3:  The minority accedes and assimilates into the majority for the good of the 
entire group. (???)

The good news about the keyboard bindings is that the minority can change the 
bindings to whatever they want.  So they can choose #3 without too much 
trouble.     Future concessions might not be so comfortable, however...
