Democracy distills down to the majority physically defeating the minority should they not come to an agreement that the majority is correct. In the case of Solaris in general, that phenomenon will manifest itself in one of these ways: #1: The majority-unfriendly status quo remains and Solaris sees stunted growth. (this is probably most of Solaris' existence) #2: The majority branches off from the minority. (this could be Project Indiana) #3: The minority accedes and assimilates into the majority for the good of the entire group. (???) The good news about the keyboard bindings is that the minority can change the bindings to whatever they want. So they can choose #3 without too much trouble. Future concessions might not be so comfortable, however... This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
