As of SXCE 63, I don't seem to be able to find signs of inclusion of any Cantanese-PinYin input method. A predecessor of the OpenFonts character set was incorporated into OpenSolaris, after I complained that I was unable to type the traditional Chinese equivalents of "Sun Microsystems" ("昇陽"）--I have never seen any response so quick anywhere. But I don't know what has been done after that. One of the main weaknesses of OpenSolaris, I think, is that Sun's developers are exclusively focusing on the IIIMF input method, which is all but six feet under as far as I know but for Sun's support. The encouraging news is, Yong Sun of Sun's Beijing team is actively porting SCIM and UIM into OpenSolaris which appears to have great success: http://blogs.sun.com/yongsun/entry/build_scim_1_4_61 I am in the process of getting ready to go through the steps Yong instructed.
