>I have a Sun X2100. It has two Segate SATA drives. I boot Solaris 10 Nevada >Build 62. I create a Z FS Poll on an unformated SATA drive in the second disk bay. The pool is created and mounted and can be used without problem. Upon reboot the system hangs and won't boot even into its bios. This has happended on two different drives and they are no longer recognized by the server under any os. Ca n anyone tell me why ZFS is killing my drives?
You are misconstruing what is happening. You've added an EFI label to the disks; the BIOS tries to interpret that label as a RAID label of sorts and dies trying. Remove the offending disks and upgrade the BIOS to the latest revision; that should help. (The problem, I think, was fixed some time ago) Casper _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
