You are misconstruing what is happening.

You've added an EFI label to the disks; the BIOS tries to interpret that
label as a RAID label of sorts and dies trying.

Remove the offending disks and upgrade the BIOS to the latest revision;
that should help.

(The problem, I think, was fixed some time ago)
