I've managed to compile the latest PHP (5.2.2) against the Solaris-bundled Apache2, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. And with Sun Studio compilers to boot, using
"-xO4 -xprefetch=auto -xarch=generic -xipo=2 -R/..." However, I'd also like to compile and link against Oracle OCI, so that I have support for the three major databases, since I plan on using them all in one capacity or another. That's the good news. The bad news is, Oracle OCI libs are 64-bit. And the the Solaris-bundled Apache2, MySQL and PostgreSQL are all 32-bit. As far as I know, one can not mix 32- and 64-bit objects. Which leads me to the concrete question: is there a way, short of having to roll out my own Apache2, MySQL and PostgreSQL in 64-bit versions, to get PHP linked against Oracle, as in 32-bit for the former three, and 64-bit for the latter? Ideas welcome. This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
