Not exactly, people can see and learn what OpenSolaris is. We already have distros based on OpenSolaris. I dont see useful to have such distro called 'the reference distribution of OpenSolaris.org' - it will make people more confused... Let me share with you the latest findings from FI OSUG: - people need more hardware support in OpenSolaris - already too many types of distros made by Sun: Solaris, Solaris Express, Solaris Express CR, Solaris Express Developer Edition - better representation in conferences and sessions around globe, not only in US I do agree with Darren and I think creating such distro is not a very wise thing to do.
