Good questions all; they should be answered as part of a sponsoring Group's decision-making process, and a high-level sentence or two answering these questions belongs in the simple announcement. But this is not the place to work this out; the process directs these questions to a more focused and technical environment - a Community Group. The OGB isn't that Group, and even if the thousands of unfocused messages haven't convinced you yet, neither is opensolaris-discuss.
