BTW, as a general question, is there a reliable way to detemine the "mapping" between an ISA and her corresponding 64-bit counterpart, as in: i386 -> amd64 sparc -> sparcv9 ppc -> ppc64 ? I would think that it would be much more scalable to be able to determine this dynamically, than hardcode a bunch of case statements.
