Any time I've been in a discussion about valgrind, we conclude,
roughly, that "it would be great if someone would make the port, but
it's going to be hard". ("Hard" here means that there are many
implementation details to accommodate, and I would expect that the
authors of those details might not want to fix them for all time--so
that a valgrind port would have an ongoing maintenance aspect.)
