Project Proposal: Globalization Workspaces
G11N (Globalization) Consolidation has released a couple of source
tarballs
in Sun Download Center last year:
http://dlc.sun.com/osol/g11n/downloads/software/current/
Community users can download and browse the source codes of G11N
Consolidation.
But they can not put back their modifications.
Creating a live repository will solve this problem.
According to OpenSolaris' policy, we need to create a project firstly
before we can set up a live repository for G11N Consolidation.
So we propose a new project: Globalization Workspaces.
Project Name: Globalization Workspaces
Abbreviation: G11N WS
Endorsed by: the I18N and L10N community
Purpose: create and maintain live repositories for G11N
Consolidation
Thanks,
Simford
Hello Simford,
Thanks for posting your project proposal to opensolaris-discuss, however
the proposal process is in transition, and as a result the following new,
revised process is now in effect.
-Eric
All projects are sponsored by at least one Community Group,
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/communities
and Community Group sponsorship is a requirement for new projects. If
you're interested in creating a project to address some community
problem, find the Community Group or Groups most relevant to the
problem, and make an initial proposal on that group's discussion list.
The Core Contributors in that Group will assist you with fleshing out
your Project proposal. The process for requesting a new project
contains the full details:
http://opensolaris.org/os/community/ogb/policies/project-instantiation.txt
Once your project is approved, please see the posting instructions for
information about posting binaries and/or source on opensolaris.org:
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/projects/posting_instr
.... which basically says:
Once the i18n/l10n community has endorsed it, all they have to do is
have their facilitator send a note to the OGB letting the OGB know and
your project is approved.
There is no longer a need to hash out discussion on opensolaris-discuss
and solicit feedback via this forum.
cheers,
steve
