Hello everyone. New to this forum so hello to all from good ol' England! I've stumped across some installation issues from build snv60 x86 onwards so forced to stay with snv57 for a while now.Graphical installer freezes when in comes to detecting hardware and drives. But now I noticed that if I run it in text mode instead it goes fine. Not sure if anyone came across this issue before? Anyway , got myself brand new shiny snv65 and can't wait to try zfs boot bits. Now I've got few considreations - 300G disk , roughly 20G root , 2G swap and rest is /export pretty much filled up already. Not ZFS , just UFS though. Had too much data on there to convert to ZFS already when I learned how to do it :) I was considering doing DVD upgrade rather than clean install as backup is a serious issue for me - have nowhere to shift my stuff to. Has anyone done Upgrade from DVD and how is that work? Shall I wipe root during that and just leave /export intact? or does it sort of overwrite existing set up on drive leaving /export out? Normally I'd just not bother and wipe the lot but it's my missus data, I'm risking divorce if anything goes missing now. :)
