The Ultra 40 workstation has the nvidia MCP55
and so does the X2200 M2 series machines. Although these
boxes have the "nforce Professional 3600" version of the chipset.
not the "consumer" variant. Both the Nvidia 570 and 590 consumer chipsets
 are versions of
the MCP55 chipset.

The really interesting one though is this baby.
The AMD/ASUS Quad FX platfrom for DUAL socket F Opterons or Athlon64 FX
processors
this got the NVIDIA nForceĀ® 680a SLI Chipset

If any one can report success with Solaris on it , Ill be happy to try too.
As the price tag for trying is atleast $4000 for getting a box together its
not a thing I want
to do as the first tester.

Then again , as the Quad-Core Phenom platform draws near ......
Maybe I should be saving money until October.....
