Adobe is an extremely BIZZARRE company. For example, they've been delivering Adobe (Acrobat) Reader for years for Solaris on sparc, but they seem to constantly refuse to release the same for Solaris on i86pc. And the most bizzarre part is, I've never heard anyone at Adobe say anything about this issue. What's even worse, they've ported the thing to Linux, an order of magnitude uglier and harder job without a doubt, but they simply refuse to do a simple compile for a same OS (Solaris) on a different platform. It's their product and that's fine, but I'd really appreciate it if they at least took an official stance on it. This way, it turns out Adobe just shuns Solaris and lets Macromedia's junk be ported to it, but doesn't let any of their own products of any value run on it.
