Not only that but ATI/AMD have in the past promised several times that
they'll improve drivers - and yet fail to deliver.

The problem is made worse when there are end users of alternative
operating systems still running around ATI products even in the midst of
the shocking support provided - the only real way to send a message is
to simply refuse to purchase all AMD/ATI products. The almighty dollar
speaks louder than polite words.
