Yes I know there are substitutes, but they are all not preinstalled? For
instance Azures, which I am using, I had to download and install. DC++, where
is that? My point is, that there are substitutes, but they are not
preinstalled. A windows switcher just wants everything to work, without
downloading and compiling things. Of course, you could download and compile a
program to almost every need, or you could write it yourself. But in my
opionion, I believe window users want these programs preinstalled, for instance
msn messenger.

Or, you could instead have the most important thing of all: a package system
that easily allows install of programs not preinstalled. If gimp comes not
preinstalled, it should be easy to just install it.

Maybe the package system could even work like this: the start button is opened
and when browsing all programs we see:

....
 Graphics - GIMP (install now)
...

Hmmm.... But maybe it would be messy. See thousands of programs and the text
"(install now)" after each program? Yes, it would be messy. It would be better
with a separate JFrame that shows all programs available.

Just my 5 cents.
