This problem should disappear when the nVidia v.100.14.13 driver is incorporated into the Nevada build (not in build 70, yet, but probably shortly thereafter, Alan?). In the meantime, my advice is, if you have the GeForce GO 6150 video chipset (which happens to be the prevalent chipset in HP's notebooks), go to nVidia site and update the video driver immediately after installation. If, however, you cannot boot, then use the following GRUB kernel parameter to boot into text mode: -m milestone=multi-user then update the video driver.
