For the SUNW audiohd driver, look for messages in 
/var/adm/messages containing the substring "audiohd".

The "vid=...." in the "codec info" line is the hardware id
for the HDA codec (in my case it's an Analog Devices
AD1986 HD audio codec)

I think you must have one of the HDA codecs that the
audiohd driver recognizes, because the driver can be opened...
