With the cdrecord "trick" that was just undocumented by Jörg (see a previous post on this thread), you can concatanate the three partial dvd-iso files on the fly. There was a very good reason for breaking the dvd iso into three fragments--you only have to re-download 1/3 of the image if something goes wrong. But with SDM I never experienced any chksum error; thus, this point may become moot. I used to be able to check all the three files and SDM would place them into my hd, unattendedly, in a couple of hours. However, with SXCE becoming popular, SDM often stopped with only one file, and I had to restart the download process. There is another problem. The chksum file contains only the chksums for zipped files. This adds a few unnecessary steps. (BTW, "szosug" stands for the Shengzhen OpenSolaris User Group. When we think of China, we often think of it as comprising two major cities, Beijing and Shanghai. But the main locomotive that propels China's economic progress actually is Shengzhen (see the July/August issue of Atlantic Magazine).)
