Nope (& that's what's bothering me), I was using the old installer (the second 
option from the list).

Everything appeared to be the same as the old one, except the fonts are larger 
(which is good) AND it does not allow me to preserve the slices (thus no more 
multiple boots b/t different Solaris slices).
