This is not an OpenSolaris specific problem but it seems like this is the most likely place to find soneone who knows.
I have set up a system with the Blastwave SAMBA and Winbind. If I create a share on a UFS file system, a user on the Windows client can set/change permissions, but if the share is on a ZFS file system, the Windows client can't control the permissions.
