On my T2500 Dell D620, I faced zero problems with SXCE, SXDE and Belenix. However, on my T7200 (Core 2 Duo with paravirtualization support) Dell D260, I've faced a curious problem of the SXCD/SXDE installers just refusing to go beyond the install-discovery script.
I cut a fresh DVD on a different brand of DVD, and that took about 2.5 hours to go past the install-discovery script. But it did get past that point, and I am now able to play with Xen on Solaris b66-xen on my D620. Have you tried to boot Belenix on this laptop ?
