We're not likely to see ZFS on Windows, primarily because data needs to be 
migrated *away* from Windows to Solaris, not the other way around.

Also, investing the scarce resources to port ZFS to Windows isn't economically 
feasible for the OpenSolaris community.

I percieve the subtle and quiet political game of ZFS in which (Open)Solaris 
engineering hopes that Microsoft will pick up ZFS, which would guarantee ZFS 
ubiquity on removable devices and eventually supplant FAT family of filesystems.

That would be a good thing indeed.  Chances are 50% given Microsoft's history 
of "embrace and extend". In that scenario, one could do without NTFS.
