Thanks a lot for your reply. `uname -a` gives all the information along
with what `uname -r` gives. So I would get the older version of the OS
that was there before live upgrade. Are there any files which get
modified to the current upgraded OS version?

Try uname -a. Assuming you are using SXDE or SXCE, uname -r will report
5.11 for all.
