How then, do we re-partition a new disk with "format" when, defining the disk type "DEFAULT" in /etc/format does not get picked up?
All I want to do is partition a disk, with "format" from data in /etc/format.dat, saved earlier. Guys, "prtvtoc" does NOT report a Disk Type, eg. ST380021A, so, where is the "standard" place for this, as in /etc/format.dat? "fmthard" has no menus, "format" does. hardware: Sunblade 100 with Seagate ST380021A disks, AMD64 with SATA disks O/S: Solaris 10 u4 and Solaris Community Edition b76 This message posted from opensolaris.org _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
