Maybe not the best list for this... I've been trying for about two years or more to get Mathworks to support Matlab for Solaris x86. The answer I have always gotten back is on the order of it is not supported at this time and there are no plans.
Today, I finally got a real answer from someone: "How are you using MATLAB now? How is the work you are doing affected by us not supporting this platform at this time? We make these business decisions based on demand. We are always reviewing the platforms we support." Currently we are using brandz, but because of the old glibc can't run the latest version of Matlab. (so that part of this post is OpenSolaris related). We are also running Linux on a lot of systems (compute clusters) that we'd rather run Solaris on if matlab was available for it. So if you could use matlab on Solaris x86 send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and let them know.
