You should post your questions on a more appropriate list, if
possible.  Not everyone involved with storage hangs out on this
general interest list.

There's no such thing as "Solaris 11" yet, so the answer to your
question is probably a qualified "yes."

SXDE is one distribution based on OpenSolaris Nevada, which is the
version under development now and which derived from the closed-source
Solaris 10.

There are other distributions that are also based on OpenSolaris.

S11 hasn't been created yet, and the content is currently unknown.
