That seems a rather arbitrary constraint. There is value in producing
releases even if they're only for x86 at the moment.

The target audience for Indiana is probably not running SPARC, so
there is significant value in producing just one arch.

Not only that, producing for more than one architecture requires
additional resources which would be better spent on the main issues
until they are ready.
