The main problem with huge FAT32 volumes on Solaris is performance: pcfs loads the entire allocation table into kernel memory and e.g. for a 2TB volume with 32KB clusters it's 256MB. 2GB file size limit is also annoying as heck. And the larger the clusters, the more disk space is wasted at the tail of an average file.
