I tried mailing the Indiana list, and didn't get a response, so I will try
here:

I recently installed blastwave on project indiana, and tried to pkg-get
mplayer. Not surprisingly, pkgadd was not aware of any of the system
packages, and the installation abruptly failed with a missing dependency:

ERROR: no info for SUNWcsl. Cannot install dependancy.
ERROR: could not install required dependancies for CSWaalib
ERROR: install of CSWaalib failed
ERROR: could not install required dependancies for CSWmplayer

After searching around I found several postings to the indiana list:
http://mail.opensolaris.org/pipermail/indiana-discuss/2007-November/003805.html

and a fix:
http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=7

I updated my system with:
pkg refresh
pkg image-update

I got the updater to run, and exit without error. (I had to umount
/lib/libc.so.1).

Unfortunately, pkginfo still does not have any info about the legacy
dependencies (even basic ones like SUNWcsl):
# pkginfo
system CSWcommon common - common files and dirs for CSW packages
system CSWpkgget pkg_get - CSW version of automated package
download tool

and blastwave still does not work. Is there a special root I have to
install? if so, where can I pick it up?

Thanks in advance,

Josh
