As an unofficial welcome, I want to mention that Dan Anderson (a Sun developer) has published a blog on how to build home-based servers on Solaris (Web, FTP, NTP (time), DNS (name), SMB and NFS (file)). Once you get your java servers going, you can really claim to have the best home-based server in the world--or at least in your block. :-) Note, that HOWTO is based on the next release of SXDE, which should come out soon.
