What about /var?

Did you check that every subdirectory /opt/csw/, /opt/csw/etc/, /var/, 
/var/sadm/, /var/sadm/install/ as well as the /var/sadm/install/contents are 
writable?

Does the /usr/sbin/pkgchk -v -d . CSWpkg_get succeed?
