1)      What is reasonable?

2)      If you believe /bin/sh is affected by the POSIX standard, you would
        need to re-read the POSIX standard.

3)      Can OpenSolaris ignore it's most important users just for the hope
        to get new incorrect educated new users?

4)      The Bourne shell is available as /bin/sh since UNIX version 6, this 
        is more than 30 years. You are only free to replace it if the new
        program is compatible.

5)      ksh is not compatible to /bin/sh as it is based on a completely 
        different concept in the parser and interpreter.

Solaris still exists because it still has an own identity. If you give this
up in favor of Linux, people will just use Linux and you are lost.
