Start by running "/usr/X11/bin/scanpci", so that we know *exactly*
what kind of hardware you've got.

Other random suggestions:

        - run "ifconfig -a plumb ; ifconfig -a" -- if you have a
          supported device at all, it should show up there.

        - contact [EMAIL PROTECTED], as that's where most
          of the driver people hang out.  You won't get as much help
          from a general-interest list like opensolaris-discuss.

I don't know what kind of chipset you have, but if you've got an
unsupported chipset, it's probably the best advice you'll get.  Even
an old 3c509 card would work fine.

(In general, if the interface doesn't work on the first try, it's a
fair bet that it's just not a supported one.)

You shouldn't need those IP addresses.  Running DHCP should configure
all of that for you ... once you've got the right driver set up.
