Right. sys-suspend is a part of the CDE, and cannot be released under the CDDL. As Alan says, the Power Management team is taking over ownership of a new utility that will replace sys-suspend. I assume they won't copy the existing sys-suspend code so it can be relicensed under CDDL.
I'm cc:ing Simon Zheng and Randy Fishel so they can comment, since they actually work on the power management team. >> I was adjusting PERMS in /etc/default/sys-suspend and noted the absence of a >> CDDL there. > > It's not been released under the CDDL, as it's part of the CDE consolidation. > The power management team are planning on replacing it in the future with a > new tool which will presumably be open sourced, and delivered somewhere else > (since CDE is going away and not having new stuff added to it). > _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
