Try the Opensound package http://www.opensound.com/solaris.html
for communication with your Sound chip.
The ACER website says that the 4720 has the 4965 AGN wireless NIC.
This driver for this Wlan is found here :
http://www.opensolaris.org/os/community/laptop/wireless/iwk/
The ACER site DOES NOT tell us which Ethernet NIC chip the 4270
is using.
So you have to find out by running the :
/usr/X11/bin/scanpci
program and tell us what it says about the Ethernet NIC.
