As for the ZFS boot support, it's not in b87, but rather in b88, and the changes to installer to support zfs boot are coming in b89, see here: http://opensolaris.org/os/community/on/flag-days/pages/2008041103/ "Further changes to the Install consolidation are required to install ZFS as the root file system.
