Linux does not support UFS.

Linux may have support for a modified UFS that is in use on *BSD since
~ 1994, but this is not complatible with the changes introduced in the main
UFS line around 1988.

It is a pitty that both (now incompatible) grandchilds of the filesystem called
"4.2" (or "ffs" see http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~brewer/cs262/FFS.pdf - the
original paper is from 1981) decided to change the name to "ufs".
