OpenSolaris supports ZFS booting - and installs that way seamlessly by default. Solaris 10 does not. However, there are some hacks to make Solaris 10 boot a ZFS partition. OpenSolaris does not support sparse zones - which is a big drawback compared to s10. One side effect of that is for every full zone that is installed on opensolaris, a number of packages must be installed over the network, and it's done using a tool that is not tolerant of network delays. _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
