Hello everybody!

I have just made my first steps on Solaris, building up a Server on a Fire 880.

Think solaris is fun and a good OS.

My Question regards an Install on an x86 Laptop, namely a Thinkpad x30.
CPU 1.2 GHz pIII / 1024MB Ram (PC133)/ 80 GB HDD / IPW2200 /Bluetooth(USB),
IRDA,Lan,Modem (seems Lucent)

A usable working speed ist wished.
Mainly focused use is Evolution Mailclient/Suite , Bluetooth syncing , look
some videos (VLC) and music listening....development and Solaris-learning, for
shure...

Network connectivity to different net types ist highly needed ....

I thought of building a Zone for offerd services like apache, ftp, nfs, Samba @
autoboot=false for switching services on or off when needed, in a safe
"sidecar".

Actually there is Ubuntu running on the machine.
Thus a Live-CD ist not absolutely representative for real-estate-opmode
I point this questions at first ....

Any issues about this project ?
Thanks a lot !
