That's bug 6622965 (or 6706366) But an atapi optical device on a p-ata controller shouldn't be affected, only hdds on a p-ata controller. > What I need to do for normal booting without stopping > disks? Otherwise there isn't much you can do, other than compiling your own ata driver module with the fix included in bug 6622965.
