Just FYI.. Looks like this was missing. The :astring ooption for both below.
#svccfg -s application/x11/x11-server:display1 addpropvalue options/server astring: "/usr/X11/bin/Xvnc" The above fixed it. I have one problem though. When I create a Terminal window the first one creates fine. When I click on it the second time all I get is just an hourglass cursor and the terminal window doesn't pop up. But instead when I click File->OpenTerminal that seems to work alright. Everything else seems to work just normal. On the display on console, creating a new terminal works just fine. >-----Original Message----- >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] >On Behalf Of Raj, Ashok >Sent: Friday, June 06, 2008 4:36 PM >To: [email protected] >Subject: [osol-discuss] starting vncserver > >http://docs.sun.com/app/docs/doc/819-2450/gfxsb?a=view > >Iam trying to follow directions in above site to get vncserver launched >automatically. > >But when tried the steps in > >svccfg -s application/x11/x11-server:display1 addpropvalue >options/server: "/usr/X11/bin/Xvnc" > > >svccfg -s application/x11/x11-server:display1 addpropvalue >options/server: '"SecurityTypes=None"' > >Both above commands fail. > >First one gives > >"Invalid property name server:" > >I tried removing ':' as suggested by some one on opensolaris IRC, and >but then it gives need "Type" or something like that. > >Anyone out there tried this thingy? > >Cheers, >ashok raj >- Open Source Technology Center > > > >_______________________________________________ >opensolaris-discuss mailing list >[email protected] _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
