Hi all, I've got a cluster of webservers (actually mongrel with apache proxying) and I wanted to share the content from a box over nfs to provide easy distribution.
When I have the apache proxy serving static content from the nfs share it always returns (13) Access denied messages no matter how i setup the permissions or apache. If I copy the content to a local disk and use it from there with absolutely no permission changes, it works like a dream. I'm going down the route of thinking that nfs is not allowing the execute permissions to work and thus, apache can't server files from those directories. Is there anything I should know about nfs and apache? Am I anywhere near correct when I think there might be something up with execute perms over nfs? I've had to switch back to local disks for now but I would really like to get this going if at all possible. Thanks Matt _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
