And I don't have this problem on my freshly-installed RC3 laptop. A bit of
banter between dep and myself shows that running xterm with
XTerm*openIm: false
makes the problem go away entirely. Since I have that set in my .Xdefaults,
then I don't see the problem. Dave ran with that and the problem went away for
him, too.
