> Hey! What happened to the life saver blastwave.org? Us solaris newbies > loves that site! Give me my blastwave back. A very simple process of applying a kernel patch and then some basic Recommended and Security patches on a Solaris 10 machine resulted in the entire /var filesystem being used up. Under normal circumstances I make a root filesystem that is about 10GB or maybe 16Gb in extreme cases. Even extreme is not extreme enough if you have zones it seems. Every patch to be applied was duplicated into multiple zones and thus all the disk space was used up quickly. I am moving /var on that server over to a separate filesystem with 32GB of space. Should be back shortly. Sorry for the hassle. Dennis _______________________________________________ opensolaris-discuss mailing list [email protected]
