To start with, I would use VirtualBox: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads But if you want it on the Mac metal itself, here you go: http://www.genunix.org/wiki/index.php/OpenSolaris_Dual_Boot I keep my OpenSolaris Mac partition current (ie. it's at b95 now). Most things just work. I did have to install the ethernet and wireless drivers after the install, and I do use a USB mouse, since OpenSolaris doesn't understand a one button Mac touch pad.
