Hi All, Just received an ACER Aspire One ($399 at CDW) on Friday.
It has a hidden shadow partition 0, Windows XP Home in 1. You get all the way through the install process to fdisk, then it says two partitions are using the same space and will not go any further. By deleting the Windows and shadow partition, you can install into partition 0. Ethernet Realtek and Atheros wifi work, Xorg is not really working at all on the Intel chip. I did not have much time to work out what was going on as the laptop died last night. I had just finished installing Windows XP in partition 1.
