Sure, if there's a clear consensus that's the case.

However, you'll see people calmly stating "gnu tar is broken" and other
people (like me) saying it's the only tar I like to use, since all the
others I've tried seem to be feature-deficient.  Whatever the "brokenness"
supposedly is, it hasn't bothered me.

(If somebody wants to enlighten me in direct email, I'm willing to know
more.  The basic point, that people disagree on just which gnu tools are
'broken', remains true.)
