Is it possible to get some additional configuration and performance data on
from your iSCSI Target system?
I am interest in the following information, during the times you are seeing bad
performance.
1). snoop trace from the iSCSI Target
snoop -d <NIC> -o /tmp/<NIC>.out
2). ZFS data
zpool list > /tmp/zpool_list.out
zpool status > /tmp/zpool_status.out
zfs list > /tmp/zfs_list.out
3). iostat
iostat -zxnC 10 10 > /tmp/iostat.out
4). netstat
netstat -i 10 10 > /tmp/netstat_i.out
netstat -s 10 10 > /tmp/netstat_s.out
5). Cat /etc/release > /tmp/release.out
So as to not flood this discussion group with bulk data, please visit
http://supportfiles.sun.com/upload, upload that data listed above as a single,
compressed, TAR ball, and let me know its name.
Feel free to send along any other relevant data, like Solaris errors in
/var/adm/messages, or similar content from VMWare ESX 3.5.
